I have a 2007 Audi A4 with 130k miles. Condition is ok but I have check engine code that is going to keep me from passing smog in CA. Code is stemming from wastegate valve on turbo. I have been informed that turbo is 1 solid plastic part, so the only remedy is replace at a cost close to 3k. Car is probably barely worth that. Being that used and new car market is inflated at the moment does it make sense to try and fix the turbo or purchase/lease something?
what is the trouble code?
