Scotty,
I have an 2013 Jetta TDI sportwagen, automatic with 91k. I was changing my oil and noticed what it appeared to be small flakes of metal stuck to the bottom of the fill cap. Maybe 10 pieces. I also filtered the old oil through cheese cloth and had none at all. Should I be worried. Car runs great and hasn’t lost any power. Thanks

I'm not surprised that you didn't find anything in the drain pan. You need to look inside the oil filter. Maybe next time.
Good idea. I still have it I’ll check.
Ok. I tore the filter apart and I couldn’t see any flakes.
great. maybe the oil cap just fell in some dirt.
