I was wondering if anyone had any insight on a Passenger headlight that flickers on and off on a 2011 Toyota Avalon limited. It had about 90k miles. The dealer said that it was a bad ballast, is there anything else I should look for to diagnose? Thank you!
First thing I would do would be switch it with driver side to see if it's the bulb after that I would check make sure it's a good connection and especially make sure she good ground
Don't bother with the dealer go to a good private mechanic

Is it an incandescent light bulb? If so, I don't believe there is a ballast. When I think of a ballast, I think of fluorescent tubes that run on 120 volt AC current, not a 12-volt battery. You might check your ground with a multimeter. Test for continuity, it should beep and not be intermittent.
Reading it again, I thought you meant dome light. Haha. The same thing should apply, though. Check for continuity. If it's a bad ballast, a continuity test should indicate an intermittent on and off beeping sound. If it doesn't stay constant, the ballast is likely bad. Make sure the headlights are on.
Haha, thank you. Will definitely do this and go from there. I appreciate the help.
