Trouble starting

I have a 98 Buick century that's giving me trouble. Had a code pop up for camshaft position sensor. Drove the car to the parts place to get a new one. On the way back home which was only a 15min drive when suddenly it misfired, stalled out, died and wouldn't crank back up. Had it towed to the house so I could change out the sensor but it won't crank back up no matter what. I've changed out every major sensor and relay but no luck. It has great compression, fuel pressure, and spark. It won't even start with started fluid. I've hooked up my OBDII reader but have no codes. It's weird though cause when you fight with it it will eventually start the 1st time but when you kill it it won't start a 2nd time. I've even went as far as buying a new programmed computer for it but still nothing. I know it can't be the security system cause the light on the dash doesn't come in and I've went as far as having it bypassed. I'm completely stunned and confused on what it could be.

Drove the car to the parts place to get a new one.

Is it OEM?

The new sensor needs to be calibrated

The camshaft position sensor is adjusted by rotating the distributor and watching camshaft retard on a scan tool.

The code doesn't pop up anymore since I change it out.

Why? Did troubleshooting reveal all those parts to be bad?

If starting fluid doesn't work you have no ignition. Look through the troubleshooting section of the site FAQ to see if that helps.

It didn't pop up anymore codes but just though since I was already that that deep into it might as well change them out.
