Hi Scotty……..I have a 2007 Honda FRV Manual drive Petrol car 147k miles on the clock. Lately the heater blower motor stopped but I can get it working by tapping the motor and then it kicks in. I can hear the fan on the motor weakening and then speeding up again. The air from the vents works at all speeds but is slightly weaker than it used to be. Am I correct in assuming the resistor is ok because the blower motor always start and the problem is with the motor itself or should I change the resistor first ? Thanks in advance
blower motor is failing. If you continue to try to use it, it'll fry the resistors too.

Being an older car the motor is likely worn, however it could also be a loose/damaged wire.

It's a fair assumption the resistor is still working correctly or one or more of your speed selections would be extremely weak or not working at all.
