Hello everyone. I have a 1999 Lincoln town car Cartier with 93 thousand miles on it. It was my grandpas car and I’m pretty sand sure none of the fluids have been changed since his passing in 2004... the tranny fluid has never been changed. The coolant is brown, but somehow the car doesn’t overheat lol. I know all of the fluids need changed, but do you think any damage has occurred to the car because of the bad fluids, since it has been used some off and on in the past few years? Right now it’s running and shifting fine and doesn’t overheat. Thanks.
I would just drop the transmission pan clean it out change the filter and fluid and use the Ford fluid
Thanks. I was wondering about the transmission fluid especially because it had never been changed. But I will definitely change it now! Btw, I checked the fluid and it still has a little bit of red color to it and it doesn’t smell burnt so I should be ok I think.
Grandpa new how to pick a good car.
Yeah he did. I love it to death lol. It was his baby. He wanted a Lincoln his while life and in his sunset years his dream was realized.
That's awesome! We may be stuck with electric scooters.
I hope not lol
