Ford 4.6L V8 3 valve Engine.
Can you swap Ford Explorer 2006-2010 V8 3V engine with Ford Mustang engine 2005-2014 V8 3V engine?
I know for sure, there are differences (throttle body, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, oil pan, water pump & water inlets/outlets, wire harnesses).
I have done it, & faced engine noises, & I am not sure if I got a bad engine block or there are incompatible engine blocks???

Well the problem isn't the engines themselves the problem are all the computer software and sensors that may not be compatible. Modern cars are made for swapping back and forth from different makes and models because of that. But if you can find a mechanic like me anywhere you are or live anywhere near Clarksville Tennessee or Portsmouth Rhode Island I check them out free and I can run some tests and tell you
