Ford 500 2006 front wheel drive duratec v6 mileage 180,000 Above 70 degrees outside temperature driving above 45 in high gear rpm jumps 200 rpm randomly every 5 or so seconds. All winter it’s fine. My mechanic found nothing wrong. Trans guy over the phone says a have a warped valve body wants $4000 . No way. Trans shifts great. I did replace the throttle body years ago with after market brand. What could be wrong? Thank you

Sounds like the aftermarket throttle body to me. Try cleaning it first, if it still does it, try swapping with an OEM one from a junkyard & check if it fixes it.
It could also be a misfire -
