Hi Scotty, I’m from London, England but currently in the us looking for a crown vic to ship back to London, Is there anything in particular I should be looking out for as I have found a 2007 with 257000 miles at a dealer for $2900 which looks to be in good condition it runs smoothly but is it risky with that many miles, thanks 🙂 /span>
A dealer that would put a car that old with that many miles on their lot is a place to be avoided. Really, all dealers should be avoided, it would be best to look for a private party sale.
Just want to add that for this car in particular I'd look private party. Plenty of older people who have them for sale with low mileage and reasonable prices. For this car, that's the ideal seller. Dealers ALWAYS ask too much for Crown Vics and Grand Marquis.
Too many miles for that car. I would not consider it. Also, please do not post same question multiple times.
You can do better private party.
I am with @ChuckTobias on this: any dealer putting a car up for sale that old with that many miles is a red flag for me and I wouldn't touch it. Sounds like a shady cash lot to me or a buy here pay here. Either way, you're best served looking elsewhere.
Good Crown Vics here in Houston are fairly common for sale, and $5000 can get you one with AT LEAST half that mileage.
