Scotty I have a 2006 Ford Escape limited V6. I had my transmission rebuilt after it gave out on me on the freeway. When I got it back now every time it shifts from 2nd to 3rd it seems to idle for longer and higher when I’m stepping on the gas, but if I let go before it’s about to change gears it does it smoothly and then I can step on the gas and continue to go. What do you think is wrong?

Transmissions are really complex devices. I would take it back to the shop that worked on it and tell them it doesn't shift right.
