Ford Explorer code P0430 Do. I need to do anything if selling in the next 2 years or sooner?
Hello,
I have a older explorer with code P0430 (catalyst system efficiency below threshold bank 2). Should I have any concern about this code? We plan to sell in the next two years or sooner, can we drive this car safely without fixing this?

Just means the cat isn’t working as well as it should as it’s an older car it’s pretty normal cats stop working as efficiently as they used to if your state doesn’t do emissions you shouldn’t have to worry about it but if your state does then you might need to take care of it. The part about selling it you should be able to sell it like that but the person buying it is going to use it as a way to negotiate.
