Brother-in-law looking at a 2015 Ford Fusion. I couldn’t remember the years that Scotty said to avoid due to having problems.

Which engine is he looking at? 1.5, 2.0, or 2.5? What mileage range? What price range?

The one he saw has the 2.5

For the 2nd generation Fusion (model year 2013-2020) for longevity avoid the Ecoboost engines and just stick to the naturally aspirated 2.5L I4 engine.

The 2.5 engine is better than the EcoBoost junk. They are OK cars all in all. Not particularly good, not bad. If you get one cheap enough then why not. Make sure to have a mechanic check it out before buying though.

2015 is a relatively good year for that generation. Not many transmission problems, not many power steering failures reported... Still, the inspection is important. If I were you I would try to stick <100k miles <$6-7k.

Good luck!
