Scotty,

What would you say to someone looking to buy a car who is currently car less and will have to possibly move a lot in the future? I do not have a lot of stuff other than clothes and a TV. What do you think about me buying a brand new ford Maverick? And what version would you recommend?

No one knows how they hold up over time, but one thing for sure is that the Ford quality has not been good recently and that truck is made in Mexico.

I'd buy an old maverick before getting a new one.

Sounds like you want something small with a bed, I'd go for the Honda or Toyota equivalent even if it's 10+ years old.

Guarantee you'll have far less headaches if any going that route.

Been discussed numerous times on this forum:  in short, save your money and pass on it unless you want to be a guinea pig for Ford.

If you have to move a LOT, maybe you should look at a van/RV. With those, you can secure/store stuff a lot better than in a pickup. Youtube is chock full of "vanlife" videos.

A Camry/Accord or maybe a Sienna, if you need all the extra space..
