In the trunk of the Ford Panther cars, there was that rectangular shaped thingy inside in which the spare tire was on top of it. What was that for? At first, the trunk looked smaller.

It was a trunk organizer, and a rare option. Guys are paying serious money ($4k range) to find them now.
