I have been looking for a used car lately and found a 97’ Honda Civic with roughly 100k miles and is in great condition, the guy is asking $1240. Only concern is if the timing belt has been replaced yet. What do you think?

have a mechanic check it out.
a quarter-century old car is going to be high maintenance.

In this crazy market if it passes inspection I would buy it and change the timing belt immediately.
