2017 Toyota Camry 2017 LE I4 with 225k miles.
Oil changes every 5,000 miles since 20k using 5W-30 full synthetic.
Currently burning ~1,000 ml per 1,000 miles (worse with 5W-20 at ~1,500 ml).
PCV valve replaced at 150k — no improvement.
Would using Lucas Oil 11097 help reduce oil consumption, or is switching to 5W-40 full synthetic a better option? Will it hurt the engine

I would go to full synthetic and then live with whatever happens. The Lucas oil stabilizer is a rolling Cannon. It's relatively thick and you have no idea what it's going to actually do when mixed with your engine oil. I would only use that on a real junker car that burns like a quart
every 200 miles or something
