2017 Rav4 60k+ miles. On the third True start Toyota dealership battery already, last a little less then two years and acid leaks on top of the battery but battery still works. There was a recall performed that there was a movement in battery clamps don’t hold the battery well enough. Even after recall still issues persist, white acid on top of the battery forms after about a year and half or a year and seven months. Not sure how to attach the picture. Bought batteries from Costco for a different car and they last any where from 4 - 7 years. Not sure if this is due to the some issue in the car or just bad TrueStart batteries from Toyota dealerships. Any advices or opinions will greatly appreciate.
Don't use the dealership to obtain a battery. I've used Walmart's Everstart batteries for 10-15 years and haven't had any issues. Once corrosion builds up on the posts, terminals and brackets.. it tends to come back more easily. I recommend cleaning (any) the corroded area with battery corrosion cleaner, then using battery corrosion preventative + using anti-corrosion washers for you battery terminals.Any advices or opinions will greatly appreciate.

It may be worth checking that you're not overcharging but it's likely the dealier is installing the cheapest possible batteries while charging you top dollar for them. Just replace with a better quality battery and move on.
