I have a 2006 Lexus ES330 with approx 183k miles, reoccurring problem with P0442 Small Evap Leak.
I have replaced gas cap with one from Lexus. Recently got through California Emission Test by clearing code and doing drive cycle, but EVAP Monitor was still INC when tested, as California allows this and it takes some time to get the right drive cycle complete to set the Monitor for EVAP.
Am I doing any harm to vehicle? Car seems to run fine.

Not huge harm, but it can cause the engine to run lean. If the monitor fails then you do want to fix the problem. You can leak test the system with a smoke machine.
