My 2017 Elantra Ltd Ed has front-end clunking sound when I go over repairs in roads and bumps. I’ve driven with mechanics to try to identify the problem. Hyundai tech confirmed noise while driving and determined cause to be struts. Replaced struts and shocks and the clunking continues. They are unable to diagnose. Another mechanic witnessed the clunking when riding with me and thinks it’s the exhaust system. Recommended taking it to a muffler shop to see if they agree that the brackets are loose. Actually showed me how loose the whole system was while examining on lift. I’ll report back after trying this.

You should not be taking your car to the dealer for anything but recalls or warranty repairs.

Not a surprise. Dealer technicians tend to be parts changers rather than diagnosticians due to the way they are trained and paid.

It could be. Time to check the exhaust system hangers and the system itself for structural integrity.
I would check bushings
My engine mounts were faulty. A fourth try with a suspension specialist solved the problem.
