Hey good people! I have another question regarding my '09 Honda Civic, which has appr. 146,000 miles. Should I be considering changing my fuel filter? I know it's in the gas tank, and I saw the video on how to change it. It doesnt look too hard to do... any thoughts on this? Thank You Moderators and SAVAGE Scotty!
Yes! I would recommend it. Changing any type of filter is always a good idea. You never know what has been trapped. There's a filter there for a reason. I would recommend a filter either OEM or above quality if at all possible. Document day year and miles when changed and continue at intervals. my. 02. Jeff Mooresville NC
@jgrant
Thanks!
Check the service manual to see if it ever needs to be replaced it might not be a filter but just a screen to prevent anything from going into the pump
@jimkline007
Thank you!
I would change it and also test the fuel pump pressure, and if needed, I would change the fuel pump since you already have an access to it and it does not cost that much.
@yaser
Thanks for the tip. Gonna have to choose a day, it will be a big project for me.
