Hello everyone,
Thinking of skipping the change of O ring ( item 3) on the fuel pump in the picture below. Do you think it is a good idea?

If it doesn't seal perfectly you'll get an EVAP leak trouble code.

Do you really want to have to drop the fuel tank again, because you didn't put in a $2 o-ring?

Always replace soft parts in this situation, unless you enjoy doing the job over again.

If you have the pump disassembled, why wouldn't you change them?
I would go ahead and change them out.
Cos I might not be able to find an O ring of the right size.
My suggestion would be to track down the parts before you begin the teardown.
That way at least, you are taking the guess work out of whether or not those parts exist.
