Scotty I have a 2005 dodge Dakota st 3.7l v6 automatic 4x4 120000 miles on it.

I am just getting ready to finish up in a few days hopefully Installing a new Charcoal canister with leak detection pump plus I cleaned out the fuel tank 22 gallons and installed a new BOSCH 67744 fuel pump assembly.

My question is should I fill the tank completely on first fireup? I was wanting to put 11 gallons just in case there is any issues not to heavy to maneuver if I have to take back out. I wanted to make sure that only 11 gallons would not hurt or interfere with anything before finishing the job.

Than you for all your expertise.

Sincerely

Brian

Put the 10 gallons in just in case it doesn't work and you have to drain it again.  That should be plenty to check the new fuel pump.  If you have to drain it, it'll go in two, five gallon cans.

Thank you I was hoping that would be enough. Now lets hope everything goes good. Very long daunting job. Appreciate it very much have a good day.
