Hi. I have a 2004 Toyota Corolla S. 234,000 miles. I think my fuel pump is going out as I am having rough starts and a lack of acceleration. The fuel pump fuse and relay are good. However, I cannot get to my fuel pump module as the fuel tank lock ring is rusted and seized shut. I've tried penetrating oil and an impact driver to loosen the screws but no luck. The screws are falling apart. I'm thinking of trying to drill the screws out or using muriotic acid to remove the rust on and around the screws. Both options seem drastic. Is there a less drastic measure I can take?

Use a screw extractor
Ok. Will do. Thank you.

I can't really picture it. Do you have a photo?
