Fuel tank protection

Scotty,

With the recent shortage of gas here in VA, people are panic buying gas even though it is only temporary. Thankfully I topped off before the news broke and everyone went bananas. Even though it would be a tough call, what would you recommend as a good preventative measure to prevent a thief from siphoning gas out of my tank? I have a 93’ F-150. Love the show!

They make locking fuel caps. They are model specific; might be hard to find for a truck that old.
If you can’t find one, you can pre-siphon your own tank. Store it at home and add it back as you need it.

Modern problems require modern solutions!

I would just drive around with the minimum in the tank and store the rest at home as suggested.

Hopefully it all blows over soon.
