I have a 98 f150. I changed the oil 5w20 stp convential. Afterwards for a couple days I’ve noticed smell of gas coming from the exhaust and it idles kinda hard.

Is your check engine light on? If so, you have codes stored. Get them read at an auto parts store.
Smelling gas in the exhaust is a rich running condition. Do Scotty's video, Make your Car Run Better with Spray Cleaner. You didn't give your mileage. Dirty fuel injectors are also a possibility in a 24 year old Ford.
Thanks I’ll do that. The odometer stopped working last year and my speedometer doesn’t work.
