Hi,

I need to replace to valve cover gaskets on my 2004 Lexus Es330.
Are there brands that I should stay away from or brands that are recommend ?

Also since I got this car used I don't know when or even if the valve cover and plenum gaskets have been changed, so
should I replace the plenum gasket as well or is it reusable ?

Thanks.

I've been using Fel-Pro for as long as I can remember and they are always a perfect fit and well known company that make gaskets. I would not cheap out and buy an unknown brand. If you're opening something up, yes change the gasket. Gaskets are rubber and have a life span. IMO 2004 it's done it's time and dried up.

If for example you do a valve cover gasket job you change the intake manifold gaskets and some the throttle body since it also comes out. Don't take a chance re-using old gaskets since jobs like these are long and sometimes frustrating.
