I have a 1980 Olds Cuttlass Supreme about 100k miles, automatic trans that is in need of an engine & trans refresh BUT I was thinking instead of going the traditional route...an electric conversion would be so crazy it might be a good idea. Any thoughts? I've been a mechanic before in my younger years and have worked on cars as a back yard mechanic for 20+ years. I did an engine replacement on my 86 Vette and quite a few other vehicles. I say all that to say that I am not a novice but this is a little outside of the norm. I'd love to at least dream a little.

Hey, if you feel you are up to it, go for it. I have never seen one done.
