I got a new 2016 Kia optima with the 2.4, it has 31,000 miles and I want to take proper care of it. I watched one of Scotty's videos about how newer GDI engines have valve cleaners. Would mine have that or do I just need to spray cleaner in it every 10k miles?

Valve cleaning in gdi engines is 20,000 to 40,000 miles. I personally think it should be done every 20,000 miles or little sooner. Just follow Scotty video on how to use gdi cleaners. I've delt with gdi in past and I've seen cars with 30,000 miles look like it had 100,000 miles. Oil catch cans car a good investment.
