My Audi A4 TDI 2009 completed 128000 kms and for the first time I replaced its transmission fluid.
This is a pre-owned car and I understood that the previous owner didn’t replaced the ATF anytime before.
After replacing the ATF, I started facing CVT transmission slippage once in a while during running time. It will not occur frequently, it will not occur all the time, it will not occur in a particular speed range. Along with this, the engine turns off automatically while in traffic. This one too won’t occur frequently.
Any idea, what could be the reason? Is it an electrical issue or a transmission issue?
Looking forward for positive response.
Cheers!
CVTs are not durable. Especially if not maintained. And it's not worth replacing. Sell the car before it completely breaks down, and avoid Audi and CVTs in the future.
