Can a engine be saved if antifreeze mixes with engine oil? Or is the engine ruined? I had a car once that I drove for long time with the 2 mixed. If I have a car with this problem couldn't I just drain everything out and fix the issue?

Anything can be saved if you have enough $$. The problem is, is the vehicle worth saving or being hauled to the junkyard.

No, you need to replace the head gaskets at least and it'll cost a small fortune. If the leak is bad enough, the whole bottom end of the engine will need replacing as well. Oil and coolant don't mix. At all.
