Genuine VS OEM VS Aftermarket PCV Valves

Hello,

I have been recently looking into the B8.5 2013 Audi S5 from a local dealer. The car has 95k Kilometers on it and it has been stage tuned (370hp, 460nm) with a simple exhaust change.
Although the car has had it's PCV changed quite recently, I wanted to know if it's a good idea to go with an Aftermarket PCV Valve this car which has the 3.0 Supercharged engine. There are not many options online I could buy from and from what it seems the one online store that sells this part usually have the genuine audi/vw part but it is overpriced compared to other countries. They have 3 options to purchase, Genuine, German brand and Aftermarket. I want to know if it's a good idea to buy aftermarket pcv valve for this car. The prices are USD$1000, $200 and $190 respectively

Much love, Clobber

I personally prefer genuine and/or I do the research to find out who makes the genuine, ie the OE supplier, and get that one.

This is for vital components and hard to reach components.

If it is not vital AND it is NOT labor intensive, I might try I a cheaper aftermarket.

Since you are looking for Audi, check out FCPEuro. I used to use them when I had a BMW. They sell genuine parts and also OE parts. Heck they even have some videos showing that the Genuine and some OE part are basically the same part without the branding. Hahahahah.
