2006 4runner SR5

For the last couple of years when ambient temperatures here in south Louisiana get about 80 degrees my 4runner instrument panel lights up and when scanned gives a code P0330(knock sensor issues). This causes the 4runner to run at a higher than usual rpm most noticeable on the highway around 3200 instead of 2200. I’ve figured out that if I let the 4runner warm up for at least 5 minutes after start this won’t occur around 80% of the time, however there are instances when it happens regardless. There are no other noticeable issues with the way the 4runner runs and after bringing it to mechanics and calling a few others, no one wants to attempt a knock sensor replacement.
Are there any work arounds or things I can do to trouble shoot this problem?Like I said the vehicle runs flawlessly after warmup. Should I just settle for that? I’m no mechanic with limited tools, but I can follow direction if anyone has any suggestions.
Thanks
Well it's got the knock sensor code odds are the sensor or the wiring has gone bad. Unfortunately you got to pull the intake manifold off to get to the sensor. If you don't want to do that, I just live with it
