1994 geo prizim with a new fuel pump sat for a couple of months and I started the car now and then, and when to move the car and it will not start I pulled the fuel pump out and and hooked it to a battery and it would not start and I did it again and it ran put the fuel pump in the car and it ran just long enough at move it out of the way and died , any suggestions?

The fuel pump is gone. Can you keep the engine running if you use starter fluid?
