GMC Shuddering

Hey Scotty!

I recently purchased a 2015 GMC Acadia SLT from a private dealership in Massachusetts. No codes reading from my ODB2 sensor. Vehicle has 152,636 miles, automatic transmission. Starts to shudder when you get up to 50 or 60 mph. Goes away as you decelerate. Returns as you accelerate. Vehicle has sat for a while. I was thinking may need a tune up, new air filter, flush all fluids. Especially transmission fluid. Could really use your help. Thank you

Helder

Not by my inspection. The dealer hasn't put an inspection sticker on it yet. Not til Monday. We will see what they have to say.

Don't trust the dealership's word. They'll tell you anything in order to get your signature and sell you that truck. Dealerships aren't your friends, and they will sucker you into driving a worn out truck, if you let them.

That's about time when the transmission starts acting up, especially if that fluid has never been changed. Find an independent mechanic to go to with said truck.

Didn't that issue show up during the pre-purchase inspection?

See the FAQ for information on changing transmission fluid.
