water pump is working, fan is also working, new thermostat, the level of coolant is fine, car is not mixing (oil with coolant), and the head gasket is not blown but the car overheats after a 5 minute drive and it doesn't blow warm air anymore (heater is not working).. please help..
Well one the only way you can tell if the head gasket is blown is doing my test in the video how to tell if your head gasket is blown Scotty. So definitely start there but if it's not that do my video how to fix an overheating car. It has to be one of those
A new radiator cap would be a good idea and burp the system of air. Check the heater control valve for proper function.
When is the last time your cooling system was flushed? Both your radiator and heater core could be plugged up.
The radiator should have no cold spots at operating temperature. A clogged radiator should just be replaced.
You can check for flow through the heater core, if it's not clogged up both heater hoses will be hot. If the heater core is OK and you're not getting heat your HVAC blend door is probably not working.
