Greetings ! I have a 2000 Taurus SEL it has a hose that no mechanics can tell me what it is they tell me where it can go but then they say it doesn't need to be hooked up apparently it hooks to a hexagon shape bolt
I was hoping that I'd be able to drop a picture but I don't see any way of doing that
Thank you

No. Don't create a new question. Just add a reply with the photo.
If that hex bolt has a "nipple" on it with a hole and is coming off of the engine, 95% chance it is your PCV.
Engineers do not make "ghost" hoses unless they are building something for a movie prop.
Get what they said in writing and go to a real mechanic. Then charge back the fee you paid to that mechanic through your credit card. They should not be in business.
PS All of the females in my family, plus a few lady friends have had problems with mechanics outright lying and ripping them off (or at least trying to). This is with small shops, chain shops, dealerships, you name it. Sounds awful, but take an imposing, easily angered, yet articulate man with you. That solves many of the problems before they start.

You put this in the TITLE line of your post instead of the body, so it was truncated. Please take note for future reference that the title is intended for a short descriptions and details should go in the body of your post.
