Thinking about buying a hybrid V6 2007 in a great shape has done only (120K Km) and the battery is changed 6 months ago I'm from Jordan 🇯🇴 it's listed for 12K JDS anyways I just wanted to ask if they came with an LSD differential and curious about if I can swap the ECVT transmission that came form toyota with toyota 6 speed that came on the V8 ones do you think that would work? because I'm looking for a first reliable fun car to start with and fuel is really expensive here so I can't just get a V8 it doesn't have to be play and run thing but what do I need to get the job done? Thank you so much for your time 🙂

You can't just swap that stuff up that's all engineered with extremely high tech technology and software it's not something that could easily be done

Do you recommend buying it then?

If you want to keep it for a long time (10 years and up), no.

My mother in law has that same car, same year.  Great car - absolutely bombproof, which is pretty amazing considering she's not exactly an, ahem, expert in auto maintenance.  Seriously, no major problems (other than hybrid battery replacement) in 15 years.  And all these years later it still looks like a very nice car, really aged well. Fast, too.

However, I agree with Scotty.  It was never designed to be modified (maybe a little suspension tuning, wheels & tires; that's about it).  It is what it is.  I am worried that if you try to get cute with it all you will do is ruin a good car.

PS: I should have said "bombproof so far".  It's a 15 year old car.  Even a Lexus will eventually start breaking parts, and the parts won't come cheap.
