What is the latest model year car that cannot be hacked into by a remote computer? A couple of years ago, I saw a documentary that demonstrated how a hacker on a laptop could take over control of a newer car's power systems and brakes.
It was creepy and scary. With the way the world is going, I'd like to know whether my car is under my control or not.

If it is man made, it can be man broken.
No car is completely safe from being hacked. But trust me, as an I.T. Specialist and owner of a car shop myself, hackers aren't just randomly targeting people to mess with their cars. If it doesn't make them money, they don't waste your time.
So do not worry. The likelihood that you will have an issue is so minuscule you are more likely to get by lightning 20 times over.
Lol . A few car would suffer -eg modern electric cars that are so integrated with the ipad eg tesla.
Other way is your bluetooth connection and it been left in discovery mode and someone starts to play music on your radio.
Yeah this happen stop at a traffic and you can pick a few open bluetooth device.
Ok next question if someone is in your radio bluetooth system .. I don't think they can do damage to your engines as most petroleum based run this off other bus system for entrainment vs car essentials.
Unless u have a tesla which is a very integrated bus.
