Scotty, my friend has a 2012 Camry with 150k miles. The a/c blows cool on the passenger side but hot on the drivers side, especially when the temperature is above 85 degrees.
It has been to several shops and no one has pinpointed the exact cause. She has heard compressor is bad, blend doors stuck, expansion valve stuck to low on refrigerant. Please advise.

It could well be low refrigerant. That can cause part of the evaporator to stay warm. However if the car has dual-zone HVAC it could also be control flaps are malfunctioning. You need to find a shop that that will do a more thorough diagnosis.
