Hi Scotty, love the channel.
I've recently bought a 2008 Audi A4 Avant and I noticed that there's oil in the coolant reservoir. Is this indicative of a leaky head gasket and would using a liquid sealant be a good place to start?

If the head gasket is blown like that, you'll need to replace it. An additive is not going to fix a blown gasket if it is that severe.

Did you have it inspected before purchase?

Check the underside of the oil fill cap for a milky/creamy residue, same goes for the dipstick. I'd be willing to bet that that test will be positive seeing as there is oil in the coolant tank.
Uh oh, that's not going to be a cheap fix...
