I’m doing the clutch on my 01 Outback and I didn’t align the clutch right and put the trans back on. After having to loosen the pressure plate to separate the engine and transmission again the clutch is now stuck on the input shaft. What should I do? I tried shaking the clutch and prying on it but it just won’t budge

Clutch plate to be exact

I’ve now got the clutch on and the car runs and drives. However it seems like the clutch won’t disengage completely. While driving I can easily pop it out of gear and I can smell the clutch burning. I also replaced the slave cylinder but not the master cylinder.

You probably installed the clutch disc on backwards. Happens all the time.

Im pretty sure it’s on the correct way. It wouldn’t fit the other way

Also it does let me in gear with the engine on but it is a little difficult in reverse and 1st

Maybe I mean won’t engage. When I press down the pedal it starts and idles fine. When I let off the pedal it doesn’t start to grab until it’s half way up and let’s me slip out of gears easily after I’m completely off the pedal

You will have to repeat the job over again from beginning to end.  There is no easy way around it.  Just loosening the pressure plate won't do it.  It has to be removed.

The transmission is off right now. The clutch is stuck on the input shaft
