2022 Chevy Camaro LS. Dealership wants to charge me 200 plus a 2hr wait. My question is what kind of scan tool can I buy to do this myself if I'm going to waste $200. All I want to do is reset the infotainment center to get it out of valet mode. I seen a video on YouTube where a guy does it with some sort of OBD2 device and is laptop but I was wondering if there's an all-in-one scan tool that can do that. Please help I don't want to waste all this money at a dealership.
You might be able to clear out the entry without a scan tool > Information on resetting the infotainment system for Chevy can be found on this page1, or this page2All I want to do is reset the infotainment center to get it out of valet mode.
(This information is often available in your owners manual)
@hixster unfortunately these options do not work I've tried them. Right now I rather have some scan tool recommendation that can access the infotainment system to fix this. Valet mode disable button to that use the infotainment system. https://youtu.be/QzpkMnxhTBo?si=BNrrRgdRy0TpDJ4o , this video shows how this guy fixed his.
@digitaldevoid didn't know you had been unsuccessful with a standard reset. You want to buy a code capable scan tool for your Camaro. There are some mentioned here: https://carkiller.com/scottykilmer/howto/which-scan-tool-should-i-get/
