Hi,
so one of our car get flooded in NJ during the hurricane Ida, it was 2014 CRV, Our insurance gave us a decent amount of settlement.
now, we are planning to get newer SUV, I'm stuck between 2018 RAV 4, Mazda cx-30 and 2018/2019 Mazda CX 5, I will definitely get the rav 4 if I find a great deal for 2019 model. I crossed out the CRV from my list cause its turbo charge.
please help, thank you!!
2018 Rav4
Mazda will probably be more fun to drive, toyota will out last it most likely, and cost more. I'd also avoid turbo engines if you dont want the extra power, even if its a honda, so good choice there. Id say the Mazda can go 150-200k with regular maintenance, so it'll still last over time. Test drive them see what you like, both are good cars.
Go with the RAV4, even if you have to pay a little more than the Mazda - if you plan to keep the vehicle for a long time (until wheels fall off) it will be worth it.
I LOVE the CX5 interior. And I love the fit and finish. And the reliability is getting up there with Toyota.
The RAV4 interior bugs me, it’s not as clean as the CX5. At the same time, the RAV4 will probably be a bit more reliable.
The RAV4 feels a bit roomier. The CX5 feels fun and sportier.
Test them out, and see what you like.
