I have a 2009 volkswagen jetta, in the winter it runs fine. But in the spring and summer months it over heat if the car stay still for a few minutes (2 or 3 minutes.) I noticed if the weather is about 55 degree or higher it happens, but when the car start moving about 25 miles or higher. It will go back to normal till it stop again and starts to overheat. My plans are to get a toyota camry 2014, it has about 110,000 miles, I found your list for best used vehicles still trying to find a 2012 toyota camry... Fingers crossed.

Could be other things , but what you describe does seem like your fans are not operating. Dump the VW, and I'd get that Camry sooner than later
