Hey Scotty i have 2011 ford escape v6, as i was driving suddenly the steering wheel got so stiff i managed to pull over turned the car off then on and every thing was back to normal looks like i lost power steering. It only happened once, what was that ? Any advice? Thank you so much

Power steering pump is probably on the way out. Check for a Ford recall.

Also check that the fan belt driving the power steering pump is not slipping due to age or incorrect tension.
