Only reason I am including these three things in my question is I am thinking of changing my ball joints and control arms should I change every thing plus what can I do to make it easier or just to learn more about this problem
I should also mention my shocks are suspect of not being up to snuff
Clarification: What is the issue with the truck you are trying to track down?
Well slight pulling at times excessive shakiness over bumpy roads things like that

Should I change everything truck is new to me

If it were my 25 year old truck, depending on what kind of life it's had, I would seriously consider replacing all wearable parts in that front end.
