Hey Scotty on my 1992 Mitsubishi Galant, when it’s at the operating temp the rpms in park are at 1,400, but when I put it in reverse or drive there normal. It only happens when in park or neutral. The load goes down when the ac is on in park. What could it be.

clean the throttle body of carbon around butterfly and check IAC (can't recall what that model uses for an IAC).Idle Air Control valve/device btw.
