Hi Scotty, i have a Mitsubishi 4m40 TD , 2004 model backie. When it gets hot to normal perating temperature the oil pressure warning comes on , but if you drive during the night , u can cover up to 500 km with no problem . What could be the cause ?

Well the only difference between day and night is it's going to be warmer in a day and not at night. So if the engine is getting hotter and the oil pressure light comes out for some reason the Angie's getting too hot. Closely monitor your radiator temperature too to see if we coolant is getting hotter too. And if it was some really oddball thing, you could have a wiring problem on the oil pressure sending unit. I checked the wiring there and I'd replace the sending unit. They don't cost much
