Scotty and Team,
I own a 1997 Lexus LX 450 (basically a Toyota land cruiser) with 345,000 miles, original 4.5L I-6 engine and transmission, no major issues other than recently replacing the starter and having to get the pulley mechanism that the serpentine belt travels on fixed a couple of years ago.
Do you have any other recommendations for keeping it running as long as possible? I regularly take it to get serviced every 5,000 miles and I live in the southeast united states and not near the ocean (not near salt)

That's about all you can do is normal maintenance. That and don't drive it like a maniac.
