Good afternoon, wanted to get your opinion on a high mileage car. It's a 2014 Lexus IS 350 F Sport with 205k miles. I checked the carfax and it's clean with regular maintenance and only a small accident in 2015. I know these cars are bulletproof but 205k miles scares. Let me know what you think thanks!
I would think that would be a fair amount of highway miles, that is a good thing.
Lexus should have at least a good many records on it, at that mileage it is good to see regular oil changes, and hopefully they changed the transmission fluid at least around 90k or so.
Have it checked by a good mechanic, if it checks out, and the price is right, it could be a decent deal, and last a good while.
The age on your car is in your favor, it isn't really that old for a Lexus. My 2008 GX470 has 190k and runs perfect, I have seen others with half a million miles running like new.
